New Delhi: Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) inaugurated 'National Productivity Week' on the occasion of National Productivity Day on Friday. The Productivity Week in the company will be observed from February 12 to 18, aimed to create awareness about productivity, so that maximum output with optimum utilization of resources can be planned and achieved.

In the inaugural ceremony at the headquarters, NCL CMD PK Sinha and functional directors of the company were present through video conferencing. Addressing the gathering PK Sinha once again assured that the company will cross its production targets. He said that with the dedicated and committed workforce, NCL is achieving all Production and productivity targets. The company will leave no stone unturned in coal production with quality safety and maximum productivity. 

All General Managers, JCC Members, Head of Departments (HoDs), and employees were present in the program. Industrial Engineering Department's General Manager Rajendra Rai unfurled the flag in the ceremony.

On this occasion, the employees of the company took a productivity pledge to ensure the growth of production and productivity with safety at the workplace. They also pledged to encourage their coworkers for the growth of the company, the living standard of the society, and the prosperity of the nation.

The company's Industrial Engineering Department (IED) team will be organising various awareness programs during the Productivity Week in all the coal projects and units.
